by admin

Copyright 2006 Stacey Zimmerman

How many times have you gone out to dinner and drank a little too much? Unfortunately, this happens to the best of us. Many of us may only have this happen a couple of times a year, however, many individuals may do this once a week or more. Theyre not drinking everyday and they dont go too far overboard with alcohol and they dont consider themselves to have a problem with alcohol. However, alcohol does in fact harm the body regardless of how many times each month you drink. The more you drink, the more you damage the organs in your body. Even if you dont drink that much, cleansing the body of toxins should be done on a regular basis.

The fact is if you drink alcohol, the cells in your body are trying to fight off the toxins from the alcohol. Often, after only drinking session, the liver cells can become swollen from an overload of fat globules and water. This fatty liver, as it is called, can also be the result of other things, such as diabetes, obesity, and there are certain drugs that will induce this condition. If you do

The Difference Between DPI and PPI

by admin

Most people heard the term DPI. In most cases the term is used in the wrong context to express the number of pixels in a photo, the number of dots in a print or the maximum dots per inch a printer can output. A relatively new term PPI was introduced in order to resolve this wrong usage of the term DPI. In this article we will try to explain in simple words what is DPI and what is PPI and should each be used.

PPI: stands for Pixels per Inch. PPI describes the number of pixels per inch in a photo. PPI is a function of the number of pixels the cameras sensor supports (also known as megapixels) and the size of the photo. To calculate a photos PPI simply multiply the page length by its width in inches. The result is the number of square inches on the page. Now divide the number of pixels the sensor supports by the number of square inches. The result is the number of pixels per square inch. All that is left to do is to find the square root of this number. Following is a table that shows the

Some Basic Tips On Using Your Camera

by admin

It’s true that taking photos is as simple as running out and grabbing a cheap five dollar camera. But taking good, quality photos has never been easier. So lets explore some quick ideas that can help you take photos that you will be happy to share with friends and family.

Photography as an art has never been more exciting or enjoyable. Todays photography enthusiast has many styles, topics, and tools open to them. Plus, the blending of digital with print makes the craft of taking photos very versatile.

Here are four tips to help.

1. Get a little closer, don’t be shy. One of the biggest mistakes most beginning photographers make is shooting from so far away. They leave too much distance between themselves and their subject.. Instead, get up close and personal. Fill up as much of the camera frame, with your subject, as you can. You can always reshape, trim, and resize a good quality shot. But you can’t continue to blow up a distant subject and hope that it will come into focus. It just won’t happen.

2. This tip springs directly from #1(above)… focus your shot on only one subject. Determine what the main

Choosing The Right Printer Paper For Your Needs

by admin

Many people think that it isn’t important what kind of printer paper they use. Paper is paper right?? I would have to disagree. First, you need to figure out what you are going to use the paper for. The second thing to determine is the right kind of paper for the kind of printer you own. Not all paper is suitable for all kinds of printers.

When buying printer paper, there are a number of factors to consider. These include the brightness rating, the weight of the paper and the purpose it was designed for. We will consider each of these factors in turn below.

What is the brightness rating?

Brightness of the paper refers to how well the paper reflects light. Many people confuse whiteness with brightness. The higher the brightness rating of a page, the more vibrant and alive the colors printed on it will appear. The brightness rating of the page can make the difference between a dull looking picture and a picture that looks alive and ready to jump off the page. Whiteness refers to the actual shade of color of the paper and how close it is to pure white.

Paper weight

Microsoft Vista To Support Only Microsoft Products; Denies Monopolistic Intent

by admin

Microsoft announced today that its new Vista operating system would support only products made by Microsoft.

The announcement immediately set off a tsunami of furious responses from all the other software companies and a renewed sharp eye from regulatory authorities.

The company effusively denied that the move is in any way indicative of monopolistic practices.

Microsoft CEO, Steven Ballmer, known to insiders from competing companies as The Embalmer, noted, Since Vista is a Microsoft product, what reason on earth is there to support products made by other companies? If they want people to use their programs, theyre free to create their own desktop operating systems.

His announcement did not sufficiently palliate representatives of other major software companies.

A representative from google lashed out, saying, It wasnt enough that the new version of Internet Explorer will have a default setting to MSN Search. Now, we understand when people click on options, there wont be any. That just doesnt seem fair, even though, I admit, he-he, google is the default setting in Firefox.

Questioned about the contentious issue, Bill Gates stated flatly, I have always been very influenced by my last name, and, in this case, as it appears in the

Rent-to-Own at Three Times the Price

by admin

If you had the opportunity to buy a television or a sofa at a price that was three times the suggested retail price, would you do it? That scenario may seem ridiculous, but thousands of people do just that every day when they sign an agreement at a rent-to-own store. Rent-to-own, or RTO for short, is a system that allows consumers with little or no credit to acquire furniture, electronics or appliances by renting them by the week or by the month. At the end of the rental agreement, the renter gets to keep the merchandise. The renter may also agree simply to rent the merchandise for an agreed-upon period of time.

While furniture or appliance rental may be suitable for someone who needs them for only a month or so, it represents an expensive way to buy for someone who intends to keep them. A television may seem inexpensive at only $10 per week, but if the agreement requires eighteen months of rental before the customer owns it, the total amount paid will be $780. That would be fine if the television were valued at anywhere near that amount, but in most cases, that $780 will provide

WaSa’s fresh take on sushi

by admin

It’s 7:30 on a Tuesday night, and 20 people are waiting to get into WaSa Sushi and Japanese Restaurant.

Good sign.

They’re chatting happily outside in the winter chill of a shopping center parking lot in Irvine, Orange County, Calif. No grousing about the wait, just lots of chatter about the dining experience that awaits.

Another good sign.

Businessman Bronnie Lee and chef James Hamamori have a hit with their “new generation” sushi houses in Irvine and Newport Beach. They’re places that stand out in Orange County’s crowded sushi world. (The pair are also behind restaurants with the WaSa name in Rancho Santa Margarita and Laguna Niguel).

For fans, it’s the novelty of what Hamamori’s doing with sushi and other Japanese fare that defines the appeal. And for some detractors who sampled the food with me, it’s the novelty of what he’s doing with sushi and other Japanese fare.

That novelty comes to life with the “WaSa Treasures,” a list of 16 plates that take two-piece sushi servings and fuse them with sharp, saucy flavors. That is melded with a tradition-stocked sushi bar and a host of intriguing cold and hot appetizers and dinner entrees.

That Tuesday night, I
